Click on any question in the study panel to select it. When selected:- The question is highlighted
- Editing options become available
- Question details are displayed

- Click on the question text you want to edit
- Modify the text directly
- The changes appear immediately
- Click Save Changes to preserve edits

Changing Question Types
Available Question Types

Changing a Question’s Type
- Select the question
- Find the question type dropdown
- Select the new type
- Adjust options as needed for the new type
Changing question types may reset some settings. Review the question after changing types.
Working with Answer Options
For Multiple Choice Questions
Adding options:- Select the question
- Click “Add Option” or type in the new option field
- Enter your option text
- Click on any option text to edit it
- Options update immediately
- Click the delete icon next to an option
- Or clear the option text
- Drag options by their handle to reorder
For Matrix Questions
Matrix questions have rows (items to rate) and columns (scale points). Editing rows:- Each row is an item participants will evaluate
- Click to edit row text
- Add or remove rows as needed
- Columns define your rating scale
- Ensure scale labels are clear (e.g., “Very Dissatisfied” to “Very Satisfied”)
Reordering Questions
Within a Section
- Hover over the question to see the drag handle
- Click and drag to move the question
- Drop in the desired position
Between Sections
- Drag the question toward the target section
- The section will expand to accept the question
- Drop in the desired position within the section
Using AI
Ask the AI to move questions:- “Move question 3 to the end of the section”
- “Put the price question before purchase intent”
- “Reorder the questions by importance”
Duplicating Questions
To create a copy of an existing question:- Select the question
- Click the duplicate icon
- A copy appears below the original
- Edit the copy as needed
Deleting Questions
Single Question
- Select the question
- Click the delete icon
- Confirm the deletion
Multiple Questions
Ask the AI to remove multiple questions:- “Remove all demographic questions”
- “Delete questions 5, 7, and 9”
Adding Question Instructions
Some questions benefit from additional instructions:When to Add Instructions
- Complex question formats
- Specific response requirements
- Context that helps participants respond
Example Instructions
- “Select all that apply”
- “Think about your experience in the past 30 days”
- “Please be as specific as possible”
Using AI for Editing
The AI can help you improve questions:- “Make this question clearer”
- “Add more answer options to question 4”
- “Simplify the language in the screening questions”
- “Suggest improvements for the survey”
Previewing Changes
After making edits, preview your changes:- Go to the Recruit tab
- Generate a test link
- Review the question as participants will see it
Quality Checklist
Before saving, verify each question:- Question text is clear and unambiguous
- Language is appropriate for your audience
- All necessary answer options are included
- No spelling or grammar errors
- Question type matches the data you need
- Instructions are included if needed
