Generate comprehensive analysis reports with a single click. Deepfield’s AI processes your responses and delivers actionable insights.

When to Generate Reports

Good Time to Generate

  • Data collection is complete: All responses are in
  • Sufficient sample: At least 20-30 completed responses
  • Quality verified: You’ve reviewed response quality
  • Time-sensitive needs: Preliminary insights from partial data

Wait If

  • Very few responses (under 10)
  • Significant quality issues need addressing
  • Major data collection still in progress

How to Generate a Report

1

Go to Analysis Tab

Open your study and click the Analysis tab.
2

Click Generate Report

Find and click the Generate Report button.
3

Select Options

Choose report settings:
  • Language (English, French, etc.)
  • Report type if multiple options available
4

Start Generation

Click to begin AI analysis.
5

Wait for Processing

The AI analyzes your data. This may take a few minutes depending on volume.
6

View Your Report

When complete, your report is ready to explore.

Report Generation Options

Language Selection

Choose the language for your report:
  • English: Default option
  • French: Full French language report
  • Other languages may be available
The AI generates all text—summaries, insights, themes—in your selected language.

Report Scope

Depending on your settings:
  • All responses: Analyze complete dataset
  • Filtered responses: Analyze a specific subset
  • By panel: Separate analysis for each panel

What Happens During Generation

The AI performs several analysis steps:
1

Data Processing

Organizes and prepares response data for analysis.
2

Quantitative Analysis

Calculates statistics, distributions, and trends for structured questions.
3

Qualitative Analysis

Reads and analyzes open-ended responses, identifying themes and patterns.
4

Quote Extraction

Identifies key quotes that illustrate important findings.
5

Persona Generation

Creates representative profiles of different respondent types.
6

Summary Creation

Writes executive summary and key takeaways.
7

Report Assembly

Compiles everything into your final report.

Generation Time

Typical Duration

Data VolumeApproximate Time
20-50 responses2-5 minutes
50-100 responses5-10 minutes
100-200 responses10-15 minutes
200+ responses15-20 minutes
Times vary based on:
  • Number of questions
  • Amount of open-ended content
  • Media response volume

While You Wait

During generation:
  • You can navigate away (report generates in background)
  • Status indicator shows progress
  • You’ll be notified when complete

Regenerating Reports

When to Regenerate

  • More responses collected: Update analysis with new data
  • Different language needed: Generate in another language
  • Focus on specific subset: Filter then regenerate

How to Regenerate

  1. Return to Analysis tab
  2. Click Generate Report again
  3. Choose your options
  4. New report replaces or supplements previous
Check if your platform keeps previous versions or replaces them when regenerating.

Report Quality Factors

Your report quality depends on:

Data Quality

  • High-quality responses produce better insights
  • Low-quality or incomplete responses limit analysis
  • Review response quality before generating

Data Volume

  • More responses = more robust patterns
  • Minimum ~20-30 for meaningful analysis
  • Larger samples enable segment comparisons

Question Design

  • Well-designed questions yield clearer insights
  • Open-ended questions provide rich qualitative data
  • Mix of question types creates comprehensive analysis

Common Generation Issues

Large datasets take more time. For very large studies, allow up to 30 minutes. Check progress indicators.
If some sections are empty, you may have insufficient data for that analysis type. Collect more responses if possible.
AI analysis is a starting point. Use citations to verify key findings and Report Chat for clarification.
Regenerate the report and ensure the correct language is selected before starting.

After Generation

Once your report is ready:
  1. Start with Executive Summary: Get the high-level takeaways
  2. Review Key Themes: Understand major patterns
  3. Explore Personas: Meet your audience segments
  4. Check Citations: Verify insights with original responses
  5. Use Report Chat: Ask follow-up questions

Best Practices

Generate after quality review. Clean, quality data produces better analysis.
Choose the right language. Generate in the language your stakeholders need.
Allow sufficient time. Don’t generate reports under tight deadlines—give time for review and exploration.
Re-generate when needed. As more responses come in, updated reports reflect fuller data.
